HI Lambies,

A couple of things:
Jeanne and Nicole, I sent an email to Leona and she’s interested in what we have to say; don’t know if she’ll join a committee yet, but let’s meet up soon before Reunion.

Also, here’s a fund raising idea that worked well years ago: a 50/50 raffle. We have a ticket template on the Yahoo site, and need to get a license from the state of NY to sell them. A print shop can print them up; Sharon Lusardi Dellerba and I think Emily Cohill did that last time. We can run the lottery, so to speak, for any length of time really, a few weeks, a month, a couple of months, and it isn’t location specific. I sold quite a number at work and around my neighborhood (ok, two of my three neighbors, LOL!), and family responded well, too, for the most part. Worth looking into; it can have a theme again (raise the roof was the last one; prop the porch, win one for windows, etc.). I also made a flyer and posted the template (don’t know if that’s still there on Yahoo!) as a bring along when selling or post it at work, church, temple, community center, etc. Just insert your own name, save and print in color using MS Publisher. It makes the whole thing more legit – and personal with a picture of the house and the name of a sister.

Just some thoughts to ponder. See you on June 3 at 8:30.

Well, I just took another part-time job starting Monday. It’s a contract position for six months with potential. I’ll be working M-Th 9:30-3 or 10-3:30, just depending on traffic and when I actually get there: it is, after all, i270. So, this may mean I can’t go to the June 2010 reunion. While I’ve gotten the OK from JC Penney for time off for the reunion at least, I don’t want to jeopardize my real vacations to Hatteras NC and St. Martin FWI where I need significantly more time off and really can’t push it with this new ”employer.”
