PLPAA Lifetime Membership to Our “Pearls”

PLPAA Lifetime Membership certificates were recently awarded to 18 of our Pearls. Below is the most gracious thank you from our founding sister Cathy Calcandy Swenson:

Dear Bonnie and sisters,
Thank you all so much for the lifetime membership in PLPAA!!!! It was a beautiful surprise and acknowledgement of the pearls’ work in starting phi lamb.  WHO knew the sorority would last so long, have so many dedicated sisters and now, have an alumnae association!!!!!! Continue the great work!
Love in phi lamb, Cathy Calcandy Swensen

At the June 2013 Reunion in Oswego, PLPAA presented Certificates of Appreciation to Jeanne Heil ’79 and Barb Mamino Bauman ’79 as a small token of PLPAA’s gratitude for all that these two sisters have done for the Sorority and the alumnae association. Both were instrumental in creating the PLPAA, served as PLPAA presidents, worked directly with PLP during its darkest hours, and helped PLP and PLPAA grow their numbers and their support. Our thanks and gratitude goes out to two sisters who have truly demonstrated their ongoing commitment to our sisterhood.

Composites

1982 PLP Composite

PLPAA is determined to scan all the composites we can get our hands on!! We’ve made good progress in this effort thanks to the help of several sisters who have loaned us their “small” composites or scanned them and sent them to us. In the future, we hope to post all of these treasures on our website PhiLamb.org. Here are the years we are missing: 1962, 1966, 1979
Please scan and send your electronic composites to MaryAnne Oriente Mather. Or, if you’re ready to clean out things you’ve saved for years, mail your original composites to:

We are creating a binder of originals to preserve in the Phi Lamb archive.

Have an Interest in History?

Have an Interest in History?

At the HouseHow about leading the effort to record PLP’s 55-year history? PLPAA has gathered quite a bit of information from the House and from our members, but we need a Historian to oversee the compilation and preservation of all our “stuff.”  It is our goal to make all of our history and artifacts available for viewing by sisters on our website www.PhiLamb.org. Contact Bonnie.Love@PhiLamb.org or any board member if you would like to join us as Historian or serve on the committee working to preserve Phi Lamb’s history.

We welcome photographs or scans from all sisters of any PLP documents, photos or favors that you may have so we can add them to the archives. Just email them to: Historian@PhiLamb.org
