2025 PLPAA Executive Board Elections
The PLPAA is looking for nominations for the next election cycle! Elected positions generally serve a term of two years. This year, two positions will only be elected for a one-year term to create a staggered election cycle as intended by PLPAA founders. Appointed positions will be for a one-year term. The following positions are up for reelection:
Elected positions
- President (2026-2027*): (Nominees for President must have served at least one prior term on the board). Manages the organization. Creates meeting agendas and schedules. Assigns projects. Communicates with members. Liaises with active membership. Oversees projects between alumnae and actives. Acts as a liaison with SUNY Oswego and the face of the organization.
- Vice President of Membership (2026-2027*): Responsible for membership renewal outreach. Keeps a running list of all members. Designs and sends out membership communications and merchandise. Sets membership goals conducts outreach year-round.
- Vice President of Reunions (2026-2028): Organizes summer reunion during SUNY Oswego’s Alumni Weekend. Chooses the venue, activities, vendors, menu, favors, decorations, and sets the agenda. Responsible for outreach and member communication on save the dates, registration, and school-sanctioned events. Potential for organizing an additional September reunion.
- Treasurer (2026-2028): Sets the annual budget, subject to the approval of active members. Oversees all bank accounts of the organization. Conducts mid-year and end-of-year audits. Oversees payment and coordination of the active sorority’s annual insurance. Submits all required tax documentation each year.
Appointed Positions
- Fundraiser (2026): Coordinates a merchandise fundraiser in the Spring to raise money for the annual PLPAA scholarship. Coordinates a fundraiser in the Fall to raise money for the annual active insurance payment. Sets fundraising goals.
- Historian (2026): Oversees collection and cataloging of Phi Lamb and PLPAA history. Coordinates sharing history on the website and during reunion. Projects for this year include working on a master list of all members and cataloging composites.
