Our first Annual Lamb Drive was a huge success as Sisters Emily Cohill and Susan Davis Kassal spearheaded this community service event. Unveiled at our Luncheon sisters all brought lambs including ones that were shipped from sisters who could not attend. The Lambs were all donated to the Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Reunion Recap
June 5th thru June 7th Phi Lambda Phi Sisters gathered in Oswego for our 56th reunion. The weekend was an amazing success as over 60 alumni and 9 actives spent the weekend reminiscing and sharing stories of their days as active sisters in Phi Lambda Phi as well as meeting sisters from other era as well as the actives and making new memories.
One thing is certainly for sure, time transcends no boundaries and for many of us it seemed like just yesterday we were all together as young women in Phi Lamb.
Festivities included a Meet n Greet Happy hour at the Press Box on Friday afternoon. Sisters enjoyed cocktails small bites and greeting sisters as they arrived in Oswego.
After the Meet n Greet as many sisters continued to arrive in Oswego. Sisters started the check in at Hart Hall where many shared rooms on 5th floor. The festivities continued with a wonderful BBQ shared by many at Fallbrook followed by an evening of singing, dancing and fun with many alumni and active sisters participating.
Our Annual meeting and luncheon followed on Saturday at Bistro 197. Our 2015 reunion committee of Kathy Henry Powell, AC Marcellino, and Linda Kimball did an amazing job securing this beautiful venue, where a wonderful afternoon was had by all.
At our meeting the new PLPAA Tiered membership program was reviewed as well as the state of the sorority, finances, our suggested amendments to the PLPAA Constitution and Sisters running for the 2015-2016 PLPAA Board. Our Historian Amanda Pendock asked for help with any memorabilia, Big / Little Sister updates and family tree information for her Tree Project.
Following our meeting sisters continued in a sing off by year, and of course, our Lamb Mascot Carla Speranza entertaining us in a rendition of Flaming Lambies!!!

Phi Times – March 2015 Update – Alumnae Sisters
Another successful “new” tradition that evolved last semester is the PLP Alumnae Sisters program. This does not eliminate the Big/Little Sister Program that has been around since our first pledge class in 1960. This effort adds to what we have always done to make pledges feel at home in our sisterhood.
Our active numbers may be low, but we have more than 1,100 alumnae, and more than half of them are active in our activities. Alumnae Sisters help new sisters to feel a part of this larger group. After they receive the names and contact information about their alumnae sisters at the conclusion of Hell night, they can share notes, phone calls, and texts with their alumnae sisters, and maybe even meet if possible. Small gifts are welcome but not necessary. The greatest present we can give them is our connection to the best sisterhood in the world!!
If you would like to be an alumnae sister, please let Bonnie Love know, by email or Facebook message. Send your name and information about how you would like your new active sister to contact you initially.
There will be a drawing in a lovely, warm Florida living room on March 23 at 8 pm, and Bonnie will let the lucky winners know as soon as the drawing is completed. You then will have to wait until after Hell Night to receive your first communication from your sister.
All ages are welcome. Last semester, sisters enjoyed connecting with seasoned sisters as well as younger ones. The only criterion is your desire to share your love and memories of Phi Lamb with a new sister.
