A Look Back on Fall 2016

A Look Back on Fall 2016

As the year and the semester wind down we reflect on the year that has passed. A lot has transpired for us Lambs. It’s been a groundbreaking semester in which the alum and actives had a wonderful line of communication and positive interactions throughout the semester and year. WE had a wonderful reunion in June where many actives were present. We experienced a rush and pledge program where active sisters, alumni and the PLPAA exchanged ideas. We continued our exciting program Alumni Bigs and the Survival pledge basket drive. Many exciting changes are in store for next Semester. We added 13 new sisters and membership is at an all-time high with 23 sisters!

2015 PLPAA Scholarship

2015 PLPAA Scholarship

Congratulations to Ketsia Rodriguez, recipient of the 2015 PLPAA Scholarship!! A dedicated and deserving sister, Ketsia has been vital to the active sorority and to continuing their strong relationship with alumnae. The PLPAA is very proud that she is the first recipient of what we hope to make an annual award.
Ketsia posted a lovely thank you in the Phi Lamb Chat Room.
“Trying to find the words to say how thankful and honored I am to have been chosen to receive the PLPAA scholarship is nearly impossible. My journey as a sister has been filled with so many amazing people and I am so glad I joined this sisterhood. Thank you everyone! Love in Phi Lamb, Ketsia
We thank Ketsia for her gift of Sisterhood, her hard work, her dedication to teaching the traditions of the sorority as Pledge Mistress and guidance and support to other younger sisters during her years at Oswego.
As Ketsia completes her undergraduate degree at Oswego, we at the PLPAA wish her much success in her post graduate studies which we are happy to say, she is continuing and staying on as an active Sister in Oswego!!

Phi Lamb Welcomes 4 New Sisters, Alumnae Dinner and More Active Sister Updates.

Phi Lamb Welcomes 4 New Sisters, Alumnae Dinner and More Active Sister Updates.

Over the last few years we have initiated many Alumnae – Active programs to strengthen the bonds between Sisters during pledging. We are proud to say that relations between the Alumnae and Actives has never been better. This is a result of the outreach and work the PLPAA has done with the actives; as well as the actives’ openness to reach out to the PLPAA for guidance and support both emotionally and financially. We are so fortunate on both sides that we have such respect and admiration for each other.

On October 30th Phi Lambda Phi welcomed four new sisters. Under the guidance of Fall 15 Pledge Mistress Ketsia Mari this semester we added 4 sisters to our sorority who are all excited to carry on the traditions of our Pearls and continue to grow Phi Lambda Phi.
Pledging for approximately 6 weeks we are very proud of these young ladies and welcome them to our Sisterhood. Brittany Androsko , Sophie Theis, Sierra Kaufman and Leeza Kramer. Many local Alum have met these young ladies and they are so pleased with the qualities these young women possess!

Our Amazing Actives

Our Amazing Actives

There were 9 actives who joined us at the luncheon. It is safe to say on behalf of all sisters that these are a REMARKABLE group of young women. The exemplify the foundations that helped to form Phi Lambda Phi and are a diverse group of young women who are open and eager to sare their experiences and welcome in the alumni to their Phi Lamb experience.

The actives are eager and excited to focus on recruitment and growing Phi Lambda Phi. They are looking to us to help them have a successful rush and get two huge pledge classes this academic year. We are happy that the newest sisters are highly motivated to help us reach our common goals. They look to recruit new pledges who have a lot of motivation and drive to rebuild with the standards and morals that that Phi Lambda Phi was founded on. We cannot be any prouder to have them continue to carry on our traditions, share in wearing our colors and grow our beloved Phi lambda Phi.
